How can you possibly be blaming Phil for Knicks’ 17–65. Honesty he hasn’t even done much yet, and that’s because with the contract situations he was dealt with he can’t do much until this summer. Also, being GM you can put together a great team on paper but that doesn’t always translate into winning because that part is all on the players and coaches, and he’s no longer coaching.
Lastly, I don’t think a team have won a championship running a 3 point orientated offense yet. There were some great shooting teams, but like Phil said, they got good looks mainly through penetration. Even with this year’s Warriors setting so many 3 point records. Warrior’s are exciting to watch, but they still get most of their 3's either in transition or from drive-and-kick. Only Curry routinely shoot 3's without much ball movement prior.
