Thank you, Sherry! I discovered how to keep it in remission — without Remicade or azathioprine or Cortifoam or mesalamine — but only after six or seven years. What’s perhaps more interesting is the fact that even in 2001, my gastroenterologist, who counts Crohn’s among his specialties, thought it couldn’t be the cause of my symptoms…because I was male and had no (known) history of the disease in my family. It was only in subsequent years that the medical profession recognized the trend of more and more, younger and younger people getting it, without any family history of Crohn’s.
