Roadmap 2023 — let’s talk details!
What a year 2022 was — one of the most challenging years in history for the cryptospace has given many projects food for thought, and those who were unable to adapt were sadly unable to survive. The ability to adapt, and fighting spirit are key to survival and these are two things that the Validity team have in abundance!
A new year heralds new opportunities and we have worked hard to develop our newest Roadmap, with fresh priorities for the project. We briefly touched on some of these priorities within our End of Year Review blog, but with the fresh start of 2023 we wanted to expand a little on some of our upcoming plans following the Roadmap’s release. We’ll be releasing these in parts covering the 3 overarching roadmap topics so we can go into some detail. Our first blog today covers Community Building & Networking. Enjoy!
Community Building & Networking
Events
The Validity team have a host of events planned for the year ahead and beyond. We had a lot of fun with the Christmas 2022 giveaway and loved seeing our members active in our Discord chat, so we’ve decided to run more events in the future including meme competitions, holiday events, and Tipbot airdrops for active members to name a few. Upon release of our Validity game, we’ll also expand our giveaways to in-game treats (watch this space for more updates on the game!). Treats will also extend to the awesome Validity Idle Capitalist game teams who have been crushing it!
This year will also see the return of our ‘Stake Like a Boss’ event. During our last event in April 2021, a total of 2380 VAL (value of $12000 at the time) were distributed over the network through the Spread Fee Protocol to stakers for helping to secure the network. Listings
We are often asked by our community members whether we have plans to get onto more exchanges. VAL is currently available on 7 exchanges, and in 2022 we managed to secure 4 new listings thanks to the hard work of our Team Lead, Gunther. When pursuing new listings we want to ensure to the best of our knowledge that we are linking with exchanges that have good reputations and high chance of survival.
With this in mind our Roadmap is reflective of one of our listing ambitions which is to get our newly developed Wrapped Val onto dexes such as Pancakeswap. Wrapped Val is a way for VAL to be more accessible to new users who don’t want to run their own wallet, so this is a priority for us this year.
Community Building
Crypto projects cannot survive without their communities, and the Validity team are proud of the growth we have achieved so far. One of our priorities this year is to carry on this snowball effect, building an even stronger community where we can continue to bring together likeminded individuals, keep open channels for our users to connect with the team, share the project’s progress, and have some fun along the way!
One of the ways we want to do this is by growing our Indonesian community, so this year we’ll be expanding our existing Indonesian team. By extending our reach to the Indonesian market there is huge potential for us to onboard new users, particularly since VAL is already listed on Upbit Indonesia.
We have already started making our content more accessible to non-English speakers by creating our multi-language staking setup guides, but we have big plans to expand on this by providing even more translated content such as blogs, and hopefully fully translated versions of our website! Recently we have been exploring the possibilities that AI technologies can help us to achieve, and using AI to reach out to more people is something we’re really passionate about and interested in utilising.
In more amazing news, we have recently become eligible for the Discord Partnership Program, so we intend on pursuing this. We will need continued support from our community to make this possible to achieve and maintain, so please continue to stay active in our server to reap the benefits of our partner-only perks such as pimped UI, community rewards, and the prestige of being part of a partnered server!
Partnerships
In May 2021 we were thrilled to partner with New York law firm MDSAR, where our Smartchain technology is currently being tested. Maintaining a high level of data security and identity verification is essential within the field of law, so this is an example of where our Smartchain technology can provide meaningful value to a big industry.
We’ll continue to pursue any partnerships that we feel would benefit from our technology suite, in real life use cases, or any partnerships that would benefit our users or the project such as our recent partnership with coinmarketleague.com.
