It is somewhere around this point that the purpose often transforms. Many companies start as the supporting structure around a new solution that will benefit mankind in some way. So in this first stage, the people then get the role of customers, the company plays the producer. But as soon as the company becomes an identity that is larger and more important than what it delivers, its mere existence inconsciously becomes the prime purpose. And then next its growth and survival. And the customers for who the solution was invented in the first place become the feeding ground of the company. I hate that. Like I became to hate great brands like Apple, Google, Facebook etc…
