Rampur History
Many layers can be seen in the Rampur History, but it can be said that Rampur city was established in the 18th century but to understand the history and date of Rampur, it is necessary to study the surrounding areas. History of the areas around Rampur is about 1500 BC Till many residues have been received from here.
The Axis located near Rampur was the capital of Panchal, one of the 16 Mahajanapadas. The gray soil painted with various excavations done here has been achieved, which works to push the date here very long. The painted gray soil is an important type of soil in its own right, which is obtained from someplace. Apart from this, the acquisition of Krishna-coated mudbank, Krishna, Madhabhand, Lal Chitra Madhabhand etc. have come from the sanctuaries and surrounding places of pilgrimage.
At present Axhetila mound and fort are reciting its golden history. Here the Kushanas have also constructed a large number along with the Guptas. The national museum, Delhi, is the only one of India’s finest and best, dirt-Ganga and Yamuna idol obtained from the Axis. In the present tense, there are two pyramidal structures on which there are many disagreements among many scholars. These structures have been made from baked clay bricks.
The ancient structures made of stone in Rampur and its surroundings are nominal, which is the main reason for lack of stones here. The description of the Axis has been duly done in the Mahabharata.
Based on the history and dates of Axis and dates of Rampur can be determined. Availability of such important and major archaeological sites, as it spreads in a large area, indicates that Rampur had experienced the experience of human settlement and its movement till then. No excavation has been done in this district so that no archaeological date has been found here.
Due to the fertility of the land here, this area was in the form of a large forest which lived in all kinds of living beings. From the 6th century BC the area became part of the Panchal kingdom and by the 5th and 6th century, the land was kept under the protection of the Mauryas and the protection of Kushan and Gupta. During this time it emerged as a major center of Buddhism and Jainism. Axis and many other full sets confirm this. Until 1947, Axis was under Rampur.
Meanwhile, this area was under publicity and other small states. Since this area was a deep forest, there is no evidence of any type of building. After the arrival of Sultan, this area was working under the Delhi Sultanate and possibly Jaunpur Sultanate.
After the arrival of the Mughals, the area started to be used for hunting, the British also made a big hunt here, the result was that many animals reached here on the verge of the end. In the 18th century, Rohelas went here and established the present Rampur. Rampur and Rohilkhand are predominantly grounding.
