Harvest your data

Gold

Farming is an input-output problem. If we can reduce the inputs such as water and pesticides — and maintain the same output, we will be overcoming a central challenge, to feed 9.8 Billion people who would call Earth home by 2050. Better controlled use of water/pesticides/seeds… can only be attained when you have better information about what, when, where etc, which a concept called Precision Agriculture promises to help get you answers.

With GPS controlled driverless tractors, Unmanned Ariel Vehicles (UAVs), and Internet connected sensors monitoring, farming is becoming increasingly precise. There are fraction of global farmers who have access to these cutting edge technology today, and with further penetration of internet (internet.org, Google Loon, ..) , more and more farmers are expected to use technology for their farming needs. However there isn’t a great way for you as a farmer or state/non-state agency to use data effectively and take meaningful actions. Data (if available) is silo and meaningful insights can come only when you put the pieces of puzzle together.

At Harvesting, we are excited about this enormous global challenge (and hence the opportunity) of bringing agriculture data and insights on your finger tips (read as device). Finding projected yield should not be difficult than finding how far is fertilizer store on the google maps.

We will help you harvest your data so that you can harvest a bumper crop this year!
