Five Randoms Acts of Kindness

Compassion is just a word but the whole world underlies it. Traditionally, we have been taught to do work for sake of material benefits. This whole ideology has turned us into material beings, not human beings.

Before working out random acts of compassions as assignments, the concept of being kind was known to me but its scope and depth was unknown to me. Even spending time with some else and showing devotion creates semblance of care in others hearts. This is also an act of kindness which does not take money and efforts.

This week, I realized that I did not spend most of my time with family and parents. So, to show my compassion, I started to spend moments with parents and closed siblings. The moments I spent were full of purpose and meanings as I was doing it with conscious state of mind. Body and soul were cooperating each other to resolve the misunderstandings in the relations. No body but I, was the silent observer of this playful activity.

Another act involved the care and attention of stray animals in our society. Couple of time, I have seen a stray dog in our town , wandering from one place to another. By nature, I was averse to touch the animals and always kept myself at distance from the pets. So, to overcome this fear, I put some milk in a bowl and went into street and took courage to put the bowl in front of dog. The dog drank the bowl completely, But when I started to walk back, he came after me as a body guard and it taught me that you can overcome your fear with compassion.

Other random acts involved donating my used clothes to the needy ones , donating some money to the security guards of our society and reaching out to a friend for solving out his personal problems.
