“Compile Storj from source code and run it on a Linux server” — Why? You can run binaries.

“Why code when you can buy lambos?” — Stupid remark.

“C is awful to code and leads to more security issues than Solidity.” — Sheer ignorance.

“The “Preparing File…” message shows forever and there are no clues in the log.” — A 5GB file takes a while to encrypt. More patience, less FUD.

Instead of doing all this you could have just uploaded a file with Filezilla to your bucket, and done. In any case Filecoin is corporate vaporware, Sia is not in the same market space, and Maidsafe is *completely* different. I have no affiliation to Storj but I do appreciate progress in technology unlike the author. Certainly Storj has the potential to be a Dropbox killer, maybe another technology will get there first.
