Hollywood needs more chubby, slowly balding South Asian men in leading, extremely high-paying roles.

I was so inspired to see the level of diversity represented at The Oscars this year. And yet, it’s painfully clear we still have a long way to go.

Because last time I checked, there are ZERO chubby, slowly balding South Asian men starring in extremely high-paying roles in TV or film.

To be fair, Hollywood certainly has made strides in terms of increasing diversity in entertainment. It’s just that, with specific regards to slightly overweight South Asian men with thinning hair, there are barely any out there. That’s even after I searched through all five seasons of Homeland, so believe me when I say I’ve looked under every rock.

As such, there needs to be WAY more representation of this demographic, especially in leading, extremely high-paying roles.

You’re probably wondering where you can find such a chubby, slowly balding South Asian man for highly lucrative film and television roles. And, sure, I guess I do happen to fit that bill. So I’m happy to step up to the plate and accept the responsibility of leading the way, if it means furthering the cause. I mean, I will do what needs to be done, without complaint. Just don’t call me a hero or anything, please.

So Hollywood, consider yourself on notice. When you come to your senses, you know where to find me: http://twitter.com/hassanisms .
