SKILLS AND SYSTEMS

Skills (at left) and systems (at right).

You can know how to code in C++ or Python very well.

But you can not create a system with it that is going to create a huge value to the society like Linux or GNU.

These are systems. Coding is just an component of these systems. Coding is a skill, Linux is a system, a project, an living organism, a freedom philosophy…

You can know exactly how economy works, you can have all the economic data in your hands, and still can’t foresee 2008 crisis.

If you can’t ask the right questions, if you can’t understand underlying systems of life, then you can not use any skill to build systematic action.

Don’t learn how to write fast, do not learn how to write c++ code or some stupid frameworks. Do understand their underlying nature and meaning.

Understand the nature of systems and create systems with your understanding.

Even our understanding of “learning” is a complete misunderstanding. Learning is not memorizing something, it’s understanding the underlying nature of things!

“Education” system destroyed our understanding!
