Kate Manfull has quite the resume and is not afraid to be considered a generalist. She has experienced advertising, promotions, public relations, and video production. She has worked in-house for companies, and she has worked in house…..no seriously she worked in her basement.

Kate had the passion and the drive to create her own company. She gained clients and employees from her large network. After some time of work all via email and all from her basement, Fierce Creative Agency was born.

Fierce Creative Agency is located in St. Charles, MO and has clients from all over the United States. The Fierce team creates graphic design content for print or web. The make web designs, create social media marketing plans, public relations plans, provide video production and editing, and photography services. Is there anything that you cannot find there (other than beads)?

Something you can find at Fierce Creative Agency is inspiration. Kate is full of life, passion, personality, and she is FIERCE.

“Sometimes really ugly work still buys you cute shoes.” No matter what you make you should make your clients happy. What you make should also represent what you do. Kate says that “your work speaks for itself”. Not only do you need impressive work but you need an impressive work ethic to go along with it. Two important characteristics to have according to Kate: be hard worker and be a quick learner. “It’s important to me to know HOW you work.”

The building itself is inspiring. The decor and feel of the environment made me want to start creating things. From a fierce lion painting Kate did herself, to colorful canvases on the wall: this place promotes creativity. Heck, even the bathroom’s design pays attention to every detail. Having an interesting and exciting bathroom is something Kate takes pride in. She explains that it is one way she can show clients that she cares about the little things when they come into the office.

Kate described herself as fearless.

Fearless people still manage to sweat a little bit. You have to sweat about something to find out if you really want to do it. If you enjoy something you are doing you should be getting overly excited and sweating (even if it’s totally through the shirt you are wearing, which Kate said it’s fine to do that so now I feel better about when it happens to me).

“Do employers really look at social media?” Kate confirmed that she does indeed check out applicants social media networks. What you are posting is important. That is a part of your online brand. That is representing who you are and what you stand for. Clean it up. Post professionally if you want to be a professional.

Getting to see Fierce Creative and learn from the team there was an a special opportunity that I am grateful for.
