How I Create a $1K Side Hustle in Three Months

A few days back my sister and I were having a conversation about creating a new side hustle.

I mostly like to work alone. It’s not because I get to keep maximum profit or something. But simply because I like to have total control over my businesses.

My sister currently makes a full-time income on Fiverr. and she wants to start a side hustle that can be scaled. I advised her Medium but writing was not her thing.

I refused to work with anyone because I like to work independently. But I did help her out on how to start a side hustle business that can be scaled to $1k in a few weeks.

I have done this many times. So I tried to make a simple plan that she could follow without my further help.

After all, we all want to work independently…at the end of the day.

My 90 days Master Plan

1. Evergreen niche that can be scaled — When I started my music store side hustle, I picked the micro-niche that was very trendy in early 2022. I was making around $200 — $500 without any engagement. Not much effort from my side. I posted product pics on Instagram and used related hashtags. Then after a few months, the trend went downhill. I was barely making $50 per month. The fault? I choose a trendy niche. I relaunched my store but this time 20% trendy niche and 80% evergreen niche.
2. Find your audience — Music audience on Instagram. Writing audience on Medium. Entrepreneurs are mostly on Twitter. Youngster on TikTok and Instagram. YouTube, is the king of all.
3. Dominate the niche — Make regular content without using AI. I have suggested the same to my sister as well. If you want to make a few dollars then use AI. If you want to scale your business, create your own content.
4. Engage. Engage. Engage. What else to say on this?
5. Promote your products — If you don’t then who will?

The conversation went very long. But these are just a few insights I am giving you. Very much ideal in case you are looking for a new side hustle.

I again stress on choosing an evergreen niche because I had to rework my music store and that took a tremendous amount of my time. Once you have an audience then promote your product, or services or do affiliate marketing.
