1. My Medium Blog
A blog is your digital home — your main hub.
I am a modern creator. And it’s just really hard for me to justify not having a personal blog anywhere. These days we all have so many options and most of them are free.
However, I went with Medium because of its distribution system. It already has the audience I need so I picked Medium instead of my WordPress blog.
If you don’t have one or still thinking about that I would highly recommend to start writing for your profile. Medium will basically serve as the main hub for your brand.

Why A Medium Blog Is Useful for Creatives
- Organic traffic. If you don’t have SEO knowledge, Medium is the right place for you.
- I have developed my portfolio here and also share my work or any current projects.
- I have set up a Gumroad newsletter here to capture my reader’s email and build a list. I would recommend the same for you as well.
- Its a perfect place for my readers to contact me.
- This is my main blog. I can share my Medium articles with my like-minded audience
2. Canva
I use Canva daily for all of my business— big and small.
I like Canva a lot. I think its great for fast and easy designs (ebook covers, thumbnails and so on), especially if you’re not a designer like me. It’s easy to use, no need for design skills. I also use this tool to make social media posts (especially Pinterest!) and logos. Lots of people suggest it for creative work today.
Why I Find Canva Useful for Creatives
- It has many ready-made social media templates.
- I have used readymade graphs and charts for my blog using Canva
- My business logos are made using Canva!
- I used to hire a designer on Fiverr. But now I use Canva to make my ebook covers.

Canva is free to use.
They do offer a premium subscription with additional useful functions, assets, and creative components. This improvement was worthwhile when I previously tried it. For most basic tasks, however, the free plan is sufficient.
3. Google Sheet
I use it for tracking my finances, my daily work and so on. This is how my finance sheet looks like -
I can do basically anything with Google Sheets. I have been using it for 5 years now!
Why I Think Google Sheets Is Helpful for Solo Entrepreneurs
