“Unlock Your YouTube Fortune: Turn Views into CASH!”

So here I am with one more article for my ongoing series “YouTube for Writers”. (Of course, this guide is for anyone who wants to start a YouTube channel)

Some readers asked me whether it is possible to start a faceless channel or not (for writers). Most of the writers are introverts. And this is common among the masses who want to start a business where they don’t have to show their faces. The answer to this is a big — Yes!

So if you are looking for the tools and gadgets and then I guess my list will help you out. You will be needing some awesome tools on this journey.

So here in this article, we will see some of the best tools I use for my Tech channel. Some here are paid and some are free as well. But whatever the case is, I am sure that this will take your YouTube business to the next level!

What do we need these tools for?

  1. Brainstorming for keywords and titles for our next video.
  2. Create quality videos in a short period of time.
  3. Editing the videos with ease. This is the most time-consuming! It took me a whole day to edit my first video!
  4. Increase consistency level. If I do it all myself, then I can only post two or three videos a week. But when I take a little help from these tools, I am able to publish more videos in one week! And we all know the importance of uploading videos consistently. This has been the secret of many YouTubers out there! Yes quality is important too!
  5. More videos mean more views and more subscribers! That’s what we all want right? We don’t know which video will go viral! It’s unpredictable!
  6. We all need time for our family and ourselves!

We all know the importance of uploading videos consistently. This has been the secret of many YouTubers out there!

So without further any more time, let’s get started!

YouTube Research Tools

I mostly focus on evergreen topics only. I always stick to traditional programming only. But there were so many new modern programs that the new generation is looking for. One thing I missed was keeping up with the trend in my niche.

My channel mostly focused on Javascript, Python, and PowerBI. But in reality, today’s generation wants Flutter, Artificial intelligence, etc.

So, if you want to grow your YouTube business you need to make your channel updated with the latest topics that people are searching on the internet.

This is how viral videos are made. One video is enough to make more than 50% of your viewership.

And for that, VidIQ plays an important role. Using VidIQ, I keep an eye on my competitors within my niche and look for those videos which are making them more money. Not only this, this tool can be used to do Keyword research as well and I mostly use the keywords in my title. description to enhance search results!

So if you are serious about growing your business, then VIdIQ is a necessary tool.

Video Editing

Pictory.ai

This tool has become my personal favorite because I like how easily I can make short videos for my YouTube. And I can use the same short videos for making reels for Instagram, TikTok as well!

Pictory.ai is an online video editor which makes it easy for you to create beautiful and unique videos within a short period of time. It has really large stock images and even stock video clips to choose from. I sometimes edit and use my images but they do have a large eye-coaching collection that I sometimes cannot resist!

One more best part that I like about Pictory.ai is that you don’t have to download anything on your pc. Everything is online so don’t worry if your memory is running low!

The only thing you need to make the videos is a script. And for that, you can use ChatGPT or any writing tool of your choice! You feed the script and watch the magic!

With so much we have to do, most of us have full-time jobs. Or chances are that you must be having some freelancing work or businesses. But staying away from YouTube is a complete no-no for us as it’s the easiest hassle right now in the market! So if you are looking for making awesome YouTube videos but don’t have much time to make them yourself then you have a perfect solution in front of you!

VideoScribe

This tool is for those who want to create whiteboard-style videos.

Honestly, my channel doesn’t require it but I have been playing around for a while with this software for a while. I like how I can create professional-looking whiteboard-style videos in a short period of time. I have become a fan of it! If this is what your channel requires then this is the best tool out there!

OpenShot

I have been using OpenShot for editing my video. Before this I used WonderShare, but it just kept on signing me out. I bought a yearly pack and it all got wasted. So I pick this free one which is great and I still use it. It’s basic. There are other alternatives as well but I need a basic editing tool so this serves the best!

You only require half an hour of training to start using this tool! And it’s free!

Stock Footage, Video Footage, and Music

Canva

I don’t think I need to talk more about it. It’s the only designing tool now I am using.

Before this, I used to use Photoshop. It was part of my day job but now Canva makes it more easy than Photoshop. I have been using it since the pandemic!

My advice will be to use free Canva for a few weeks and then shift to Pro. Because now I am finding myself more and more dependent on it! And Pro unlocks millions of designs that will be enough for all of my businesses.

I used Canva for -

  1. Making eBook cover for self-publishing
  2. Pins
  3. InstaPost
  4. Medium Images

and so on.

Screen Capture

OBS studio

Do you want to record the screen? Or want to record yourself along with it?

If the focus is you then your mobile camera is enough.

But if the focus is the laptop screen and you then use this free software.

OBS Studio is an easy-to-use screen capture software. If you make tutorial videos like me then this is sufficient!

You can quickly capture your screen using OBS Studio to make interesting video lessons, product demos, and more. There are more features but in reality, I haven’t discovered them because I just need to record my screen and that’s all!

Microphone

Boya Mic

I bought this mic after the pandemic. And since then I have been using it for making my videos. At that time it was around $12. There are more good mics out there but I have to add this because there are many people who want to start a YouTube channel but don’t have money to invest. I started with this mic. If you have the budget, then go for a more popular mic, and if not then still this is a good mic to start with!

Conclusion

So this is it! This is the set of tools I use for my Programming Channel. I guess these tools are enough for you to get started. If there are better tools than this then just let me know. I like to experiment all the time!

Good luck!
