appiness … that will continue longer after the last matriculation is taken as a young or mature adult. For me this is what school is about. Not preparation for a life time of work as an employee or even more anxious stress filled trajectory of an entrepreneur. Just somewhere we kids can go to explore new worlds, build resilience, learn how to communicate with others and have some fun before life beats it the hell out of us or some happiness coach charges us a fortune to go to a retreat to “rediscover” it.
…on of information that is curated, connected and relevant to the audience in that school community. Libraries that do not attend to the needs of their patrons will struggle to last in a world where information is simply a tap away… but good information still needs a champion. A champion who will help teachers and students move beyond gathering information, to deepen their knowledge and to build some kind of wisdom as well.
