Adding visual content to any content is an easy way to increase views, and engagement and build trust and loyalty from your audience because it’s:

  • Shareable
  • Improve search engine optimization (adds details/descriptions for search engines)
  • Increases recognition and awareness of a brand, product, or author

You don’t need to have a design background or natural artistic abilities for many types of visual content, but that is certainly an advantage.

  5. Screenshots are helpful to show examples of the topic or instructions.
  6. Screen recording videos can show your audience specific details, or highlight information.
  7. Videos, as short-form or longer, are the #1 type of visual content for views, shares, and engagement.
  8. Graphs, charts, and infographics are useful and informative and remembered longer than text or audio alone.
  9. Calls-to-Action in a graphic, or decorative format with a border, emoji, or symbols, can become visual content.
