Great ideas shared — here’s to share some of my thoughts to build on the topic.
I feel there are in general 3 types of successful people:
- Those born with an acute sense of mission since young and knowing what they want — the top entreprenuers in the world who ditch the conventional path and pursue their dreams. Some achieved phenomenal success and most others failed without regrets (i deem them successful for their bravery).
- Those who grew up walking down the well-trodden paths due to circumstances or upbringing — they grow to love what they do and relentlessly persevere to master their crafts and make meaning of their work till the day they retire of old age.
- This is where I find myself . Due to opportunities, I get to move across roles and explore myself over 15 years of professional placement. As time goes by and I see more, it pains me to see how things stay stagnant in my industry. A fire unknowingly started to burn bright inside me as I resolve to bring on impact wherever I can in my lifetime.
I can’t make myself to be like Bill Gates because we are born different people; but I can choose to live similar to his ideals (always finding to improve the world).
To me, success is based off comparing against my past self. Loving myself more with each passing day since this realization came.
