Free Code Camp Poznan MeetUp #1
It’s been over four months since I last wrote anything about my coding endeavor, but it’s time to get back to it now that we’ve finally managed to get together IRL as a group of coding enthusiasts and professionals from Poznan.
Our meeting took place yesterday and lasted for about an hour. There were no computers and as yet no coffee, though that is to be fixed next time. We talked about where each of us was in the FCC curriculum, and where we all needed to be before there was any point in doing something together.
Our first checkpoint is the completion of the Intermediate Algorithm Scripting section in the FCC curriculum. Once each of us has done that at the minimum, we can learn Git in order to be able to work in teams over individual projects.
There were seven of us, which amounted to 12% of the Facebook Group members. I don’t think it was bad, especially considering how little we had to settle for a start. New people should join in over time, as we develop our skills and prove to mean business.

Personally, I am uplifted because the range of coding experience seemed wide enough to be productive. While I was certainly the rookie, there were other learners, too, as well as people already working in the industry.
Next meeting is due in about three weeks. I will post about it then.
