As we all struggle to understand the chaos and divisiveness that is the 2016 election, I think your approach is intriguing and insightful, especially given the fact that the media and the presidential campaign seem inseparable at this point.

And, as a few of the other pieces in Our Turn Now have mentioned, I appreciate you encouraging readers to try to understand people with opinions that differ from their own, especially in a face-to-face manner rather than a detached online one.

The internet is the future, and if this election is any indication, social media will most likely continue to play a large part in our future elections. Thanks for reminding the rest of us to remain present and engaged in the “real world” as democracy rests with people, not with computers.
