Tips for Effectively Losing Weight on the HCG Diet

Weight loss is inevitable with the HCG diet. However, like all diets, weight loss isn’t always consistent. Some days will be better or worse than others, and you may lose more or less depending on the day. But, you’ll surely lose 15 to 60 lbs. in 30 days. Just keep in mind that the amount of weight you lose is determined by the number of calories your body needs, and how well you follow the recommended diet and exercise program. However, there are things you can do to maximize your weight loss and get as close to that 60-pound goal as possible.

Monitor What You Drink

One of the best ways to maximize your weight loss with HCG, is to monitor what you drink and even how you drink it. First, drink at least half your weight in litres of water each day — never drink less than two litres of water a day. Next, if you’re going to drink coffee, limit your intake to one to two cups per day. On the other hand, you should definitely drink one to two cups of green tea per day. However, check the ingredients of your tea to ensure there’s no added sugar, including fruit extracts. For an added boost when your using HCG for weight loss, drink an apple cider vinegar cocktail twice a day. This cocktail consists of, apple cider vinegar, water and lemon juice. You should also consume the juice of one lemon every day.

Monitor What You Eat

The first step to doing the HCG Diet is to buy HCG, but you must also eat the proper foods. First, try to limit your meat consumption to mostly fish and chicken. Additionally, you should only eat certain types of fish and seafood. For example, tuna should be excluded from your diet and shrimp should never be eaten on the same day as beef. Vegetables and fruits, like asparagus and tomatoes should also never be eaten on the same day. Plus, they should only be eaten every four to five days. Also keep in mind that strawberries should only be eaten twice a week, you shouldn’t eat more than one apple a dayonly half a grapefruit should be eaten at a time.

Even though, there are some limitations on certain foods, remember to mix it up and rotate your fruits, veggies and proteins from day to day. Besides that, venture out and try new fruits and vegetables, as well as new, tasty recipes.

Monitor How Your Exercise and Eat

To maximize your weight loss on any diet program, you must exercise. On the HCG Diet, you should exercise at least five days a week, including aerobics and weightlifting. For a greater boost, take an hour-long walk at least three times a week. Just remember to walk briskly. Basically, you should strive to remain active throughout your day. Plus, eat every three to four hours, leaving no room for hunger while staying within your 500 calorie a day limit. However, don’t eat within three hours before bed, but eat within an hour of waking up in the morning.
