I’ll say this right now, in no uncertain terms. If you are working in a really nice and expensive restaurant, you are getting 20% from me for crappy or average service and more for wonderful service. That is to be expected. But if you work in a Waffle House, Denny’s etc, you can spit in my coffee, screw up my order, and you are getting a $10 tip for an $8 breakfast. I am poor. But damn, people who work that hard deserve more. It’s just common human kindness and decency.
