Christopher, if the state begins a program, but then runs out of money to fund it, the political stakes are very high. Besides, you and i both know the goal was to get the states to expand medicaid, and then force them to fund it on their own. This bill passed without a single minority party vote, and without any of their offered amendments, and you’re surprised repugs have adopted a scortched earth attitude toward ANY dem program? Worse, the majority of Americans have been AGAINST Obamacare in every single national survey since it passed. The only people actually for it are those who want to use somebody else’s money to pay for it.
