I read your full response to Lessig’s original post and felt compelled, in the spirit of his…
Mark Phillips

Hey Mark, I wanted to let you know that I read your comments with an open mind, and I need a little time to draft a complete response.

Thank you for the unexpected kind words.

You commented that you “take major issue with you(me) saying that “destabilizing the entire fucking planet.” I assume you mean the Democrats?”

There were actually two Dr Lessig essays, and some of the documentation for that statement is buried in multiple comments in the comment threads of both essays. I certainly don’t expect you to reassemble all of it.

It is a controversial statement, and I owe it to you to clearly articulate how I reached that conclusion. Over the next few days I’d like to put all those various pieces together in chronological order, and hopefully in a way that’s as logical and reasonable as possible.

I’ve been following this whole story since election day, but it didn’t dawn on me until very recently that it’s quite possible the leadership of the Hillary campaign and Obama’s White House team weren’t just cynical opportunists, but that they honestly believe the conspiracy theory they’ve been selling.

In fact, it’s the only way their actions, especially pre-election, make any sense.

That doesn’t mean I buy it, but I do think I understand why they originally pursued it. Since then, it’s taken on a life of it’s own, and I believe reached a level of mass hysteria.

When I post it I’ll be sure to send a link to you in a private message.

Thanks again.
