I have one comment to add. A bit of advice. You can avoid many of the issues presented in this article by choosing to work in industries dominated by women. Yes, interactions like this still occur, but when more than half the workforce is female, those problems are usually handled in a far less biased way. There are A LOT more women occupying mid and upper level management positions, and the pay disparity is usually lower or nonresistant.
