During the first mass school shooting, armed students fired back
Meagan Day

I think you inadvertently proved their point. In 1966, students and citizens around UT were armed to the teeth, yet gun violence was rare. Fear and hysteria that concealed or open carry will make the average citizen less safe are overblown. Mass shooters routinely choose locations filled with people who can’t fight back, and usually kill themselves when confronted. All those guns may be worth nothing when an incident actually occurs, but the fear and risk of being unable to inflict mass casualties before being killed certainly enters a terrorist’s mind when they choose their target. Elementary schools, movie theaters and Christmas parties weren’t chosen at random.
