The only thing that explains Trump’s Russian hacking remarks is this old-school political term

I’m no fan of Mr Trump, and many of his comments are inexcusable, but let’s walk through a few of these while you’re hyperventilating;

  • Calling Mexicans rapists and trying to disqualify them from professional positions on the basis of heritage, alienating an utterly crucial demographic

No excuse on the rapist remark. As for the judge, if I recall correctly, he’s a member of LaRaza and Trump was questioning his bias.

  • Insulting women, who are more than half the population of this country, over and over

Yep.

  • Proposing a ban on Muslim immigration, in direct violation of the principles of religious freedom laid out by the Constitution

Uh, the constitution applies to citizens and lawful residents, not the whole world. While it’s a terrible idea, there’s nothing illegal about a president limiting immigration based on religion.

  • Revoking The Washington Post’s credentials, pissing off the entire political press machine

Mr Obama kicked three conservative reporters off his campaign plane, denied Fox News acess to White House Press briefings, called a Fox reporter a co-conspirator of espionage, and bugged the phones at the Washington offices of the Associated Press.

  • Picking a fight with Fox News, traditionally relied upon to be a conservative candidate’s foremost media voice

Since when does a progressive care what politicians do to Fox news? You certainly didn’t when Obama claimed they weren’t a news station.

  • Mocking a decorated war veteran — and longtime Republican senator — for being captured during combat, insulting all veterans and their loved ones

For people of Trump/McCain’s generation, those who broke and talked to the enemy weren’t called “heros”. We now understand that few can resist torture, but the standards for McCain’s generation were different. I do have an issue with Trump, who never served, going after McCain, who went in harms way.

yep.

  • Letting Melania Trump give a speech that was very obviously plagiarized from Michelle Obama

Is that worse than a presidential candidate (Obama)plagiarizing his own convention speech? (The press gave him a pass)

  • Praising Saddam Hussein — who was executed for crimes against humanity — for his handling of national security and his toughness with terrorists

Anita Dunn, White House communications director actually praised Mao Tse-tung in a high school commencement address. (She kept her job). Trump certainly wouldn’t be the first person to notice that the middle east was more stable with brutal dictators in charge. I’m sure several progressive leaders noticed the same thing when the dems decided to be against the war they voted for.

  • Responding to the murder of 49 people at Orlando’s gay nightclub Pulse by congratulating himself on knowing that terrorism is a threat

Um, hours before the Paris attacks, Obama declared ISIS “contained” in a public speech. Trump pointing out he doesn’t share Obama’s view that ISIS is the JV team or contained is hardly incendiary.

  • Saying that if elected there’s a chance he would shrug and back out

Most of us wish he would.

  • Refusing to distance himself from former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard David Duke

Did Obama distance himself from BLM activists who told White reporters and supporters to move to the back of the protest march? Besides, David Duke is a nut.

Let’s talk about the email comments. Trump is talking about the 30,000 emails Hillary decided the public and the State Department had no right to see and she deleted them all. The FBI couldn’t recover them, State has no copies. Asking Russia if they can find them is just very pointed satire. Believe me, none of us are EVER going to see those thirty thousand messages. Asking Russia to look is an effective reminder that Hillary, a public official, placed ALL her communications under her personal control, and forever out of reach of the public. Her contempt for the citizens right to know is glaringly.

BTW, for the thousands of emails she DID turn over, she provided PAPER COPIES without the corresponding electronic files, and forced the State Department to spend months going through the physical paper and recreating electronic copies. To keep her Chief of Staff from having t answer to the FBI, Hillary hired the woman as her attorney so she could never testify. how convenient. And you’re hyperventilating over Trump making fun of her seriously lame excuses.

Politically, Hillary is playing a very dangerous game with all this. Every time she brings attention to the idea that Russia hacked into the DNC she’s hoping we don’t recognize that could have done the same thing to the server in her bathroom. Worse, every time she talks about what an awful security breach the DNC hack was, its a reminder just how irresponsible it was for her to use a private server, and legitimizes the very real national security issues that would be caused by a foreign power hacking the private server of the US Secretary of State. She may not have broken any laws, but she certainly undermined national security, all to keep the press from seeing any of her emails.

One you didn’t mention. Why is exactly that the press continually hounds Trump’s daughter asking her about her daughter’s treatment of women, but NO reporter is asking Chelsea to talk about her father’s treatment of women. Seriously. If the treatment of women is such an important issue in this election, why is the press, even the progressive press, giving Bill a pass??

We as citizens should be embarrassed that out of a population of 320,000,000, we chose these two grossly unqualified people to be on the ballot. We have lost our collective minds.
