McCain wasn’t the commander in chief nor a general responsible for defining strategy in any of those places.
Iraq? A long list of Democrat and Republican lawmakers signed their names to that deal.
Libya? Hillary was the war hawk pushing regime change, and deserves much of the blame for the refugee crisis she was warned about.
Syria? Mr Assad’s intransigence and willingness to slaughter his own people are the primary culprit, with Putin next in line.
We can argue MccCain’s policies all day, but the worst we can say is that he may have been wrong, and then only in hindsight.
Trying to paint him as a bloodthirsty warmonger is just a smear.
Yes, McCain succumbed to torture. Since I don’t know how long I’d hold out before spilling my guts, I’ll just respect the five and half years he spent at the Hanoi Hilton and leave it at that.
