This is false. More than half the so called rich reach that level on a single generation. Your arguments about education investment and access to social networks are sadly, valid, but any community of people can create a supportive network, examples abound all over the globe.

I will point out that immigrants from cultures which put a premium value on education have no trouble moving up the economic/social ladder regardless of race or color.
