yes it is — but Tidal is woefully far behind in terms of distribution. No users — no downloads — just a premium product.

So it has to fight the very hard battle of getting peoples attention

against very well capitalized companies who also want your attention.

You have to do it 10X better than your competitor — and then offer some extra value.

Tidal has some extra value — exclusive releases and some windowing. They need more than that though — and they need to make the product 10X better than Pandora or Spotify. Good luck with the last part. That will cost a ton of $ and time — and artists tend not to want to invest that much of their own $ making that happen.
