I’m curious: In Germany there’s such a thing as failure to declare insolvency in a timely manner. It’s a criminal offense. If a CEO can’t pay his companies’ bills bills (salaries are part of that) and dones’t declare insolvency immediately, He’ll up in court. Personally.

And yeah, if I ever get a paycheck a couple of days late and smell this having to do with the fact that my employer is out of cash, unless he really really kindly asks me to hold off for some really good reason, my next call is to the State’s attorney filing a report.

Is there no such law in the US? This company clearly was bankrupt at some point…
