Deadlifts: This is probably the only exercise you can do that works the largest proportion of your body. I hear a lot of people whine, saying “I don’t need to work my legs and back.” Well, this really isn’t about your legs and back. This exercise works out your legs and back, but it has an overall physiological effect. This exercise will help your body produce more testosterone. This means that the work you do on the rest of your body gets a boost because of that. The added overall stress from it shocks your entire body. This exercise needs to be done for bodybuilding women. You can’t escape it.
My first tip is probably the most important one I can give. Most women would assume that there main work should come in the gym, well, you’re wrong. The main work is always diet because if your diet doesn’t promote the best muscle growth than you’re just not going to get it. Diet is more important than the gym, so start treating it that way. It’s time to cut out all that processed food you eat and stick with the real thing. It’s time to eat smaller meals every few hours to help keep your metabolism up.
Us gals find it hard in a world dominated by men, but we have to make our own pathway in life to survive. It is important for women to feel confident about themselves- including how they look, feel and perceive themselves. By pursuing a healthy lifestyle, a womans’ body will generally shine and radiate with health. But to get that perfect toned (and slightly muscular) figure that a woman dreams of having- they will have to push just a little further.
Women often hesitate taking up bodybuilding because they are afraid of looking like a man. This could not be further from the truth. Women, no matter how much bulk they manage to put on their bodies, will never look like a man due to different structures, hormones and genetics. Many women bodybuilders are beautiful women with defined tones and maintain their soft bodies. Exercising consciously with a well defined goal will guarantee the type of toned muscular body they are seeking. Women must stop comparing themselves to men in the bodybuilding arena.
In 1978, the 1st US Women’s National Physique Championship was held in Canton, Ohio. This was the first contest where the competitors were judged on musculature as well as poise. Although considered to be the birth of the true female bodybuilding competition, many consider women bodybuilding competitions to be officially inaugurated with the establishment of the National Physique Committee in 1980 and the launching of the 1st NPC National Competition. That same year gave birth to the Ms. Olympia contest, which is now the most prestigious contest among professional bodybuilders.
With the current craze of the Atkins diet women are finding success fitting into clothes that they couldn’t fit into for a while. Without a doubt the Atkins diet works. Unfortunately the diet doesn’t help muscle tone or the cardiovascular system. Now with the fat that was covering the underlying muscle melted off,. you would like to see these muscles toned up. Why not try bodybuilding? You probably have some questions why you should start bodybuilding.
Besides the obvious benefit of turning a few heads with that “Baywatch Babe” body, there are more great benefits for bodybuilding females. By increasing the bodies muscle mass you can greatly improve you strength, minimize the effects of aging by decreasing muscular atrophy (especially if you are 40 or over). And here is a real biggy…because you have built some really great and shapely muscle your body’s metabolic rate just went through the roof. So you can have that delicious cheese cake whilst your size zero friends have some or other green thing.
To properly measure results, you will need to eat a consistent amount of calories over a period of a week. At the end of a week weigh yourself and compare it to your previous weight. If you’ve lost weight or are still the same, you’re going to need to eat more calories. After a month of doing this, take the time to measure your body again and check how things have changed. If you follow this formula you’ll be expected to see significant results over a period of just a few months.
Weight training develops muscle tissue. Adding strength training will develop the underlying chest muscle on a woman and can add more shape to her upper body, creating those eye-pleasing and sexy curves. In addition, a good chest training program will add stunning high cleavage for that perfect fit in a dress or bikini.
