Erectile Dysfunction and motorcycle riders

A new study out of Japan suggests that motorcycle riding could “slow your engine” in the bedroom and cause Erectile Dysfunction!

There have been previous studies that have linked a degree of erectile dysfunction (ED) and/or infertility with bicycle riding. That link was largely due to pressure put on the scrotum by most conventional bicycle seats.

This latest study found that riding motorcycles, even as little as three times a week can have similar effects. In this study, 46 out of 150 motorcycle riders reported difficulties in obtaining an erection after riding.

Motorcycle Riders and Erectile Dysfunction

The riders did describe their problems with ED as “mild or moderate.” Since the researchers knew that the design of motorcycle seats are significantly different than bicycle seats, they looked for another possible link between motorcycle riding and ED.

They believed that it could have to do with heat or vibrations from the engines causing damage to erectile tissue, nerves or blood vessels.

However, a flaw in the study is that the researchers failed to take into account the different types of motorbikes, and engine horsepower, of the bikes ridden by the men who reported problems. Riders in the survey varied from scooters to bigger full-scale motorcycles.

The study also acknowledged that in medical research, “correlation” does not always mean “causation.” There are many causes of ED, such as stress, certain medications, and medical conditions like high blood pressure or diabetes.

These or other possibilities would all need to be ruled out in the riders reporting a problem, before any such direct link could be made.

More research into the possible link between motorcycle riding and Erectile Dysfunction is obviously needed. However, with men the world over riding more motorbikes as an alternative form of transportation, this study certainly offers some “fuel for thought.”

Our latest medical treatment for male enhancement is something called GainsWAVE Therapy. This remarkable procedure uses pulsed-acoustical waves to give you longer, stronger and more sustainable erections.

This unique treatment is the same technique that Men’s Health recently called “The New Viagra.” Pulsed-waves for male enhancement and erectile dysfunction have been proven effective in clinical trials. HealthGAINS is one of the first clinics to offer this ground breaking therapy in the Miami area.

Even men who said they had absolutely no problem with their sex lives, were amazed at how much better they were able to perform and satisfy their lovers, with a single GainsWAVE treatment!

In addition to the GainsWAVE, we have recently introduced our latest version of our proven drug-free, surgery free ED treatment, The Gaines Enhancement® Plus. Like the original Gaines Enhancement®, it uses Platelet Rich Plasma, or PRP, to give you harder, firmer and more sustainable erections.
