The Many Benefits Of Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy

Platelet Rich Plasma or PRP may very well be the “Fountain of Youth!

The ever growing field of age-management is all about peak performance at any age. That is why we often turn to the sports world for breakthroughs that can be applied to anti-aging medicine and life enhancing treatments. Over the past few years, one such treatment, Platelet Rich Plasma, or PRP, has been finding its way from the playing field to your age management practitioner’s office.

About a decade or so ago, PRP took the orthopedic and sports medicine worlds by storm for the treatment of joint pain, inflammation, and sports related injuries. Many well-known athletes at the time, such as Tiger Woods, tennis star Rafael Nadal, NFL All-Pro wide-receiver Hines Ward, used PRP successfully to treat various problems, such as sprained knees and chronic tendon injuries. They claim that PRP allowed them to return more quickly to competition, with fewer complications than typical medication, physical therapy, or even surgery!

Since then PRP has become the standard of care in sports medicine with barely a week going by without a headline about one sports star or another coming off of the injured lists, thanks to PRP

What is PRP?

So what exactly is PRP? There are basically three types of cells in your blood. The white blood cells, the red blood cells, and the platelets. The red cells carry oxygen, the white are involved in the immune response, and if you remember your high school biology, you know that platelets have to do with clotting. That is true, but platelets also have another function when it comes to healing — they contain what are known as “growth factors” that stimulate the production of new healthy cells at the site of an injury.

In PRP Therapy a centrifuge is used to separate the white and red blood cells from the liquid portion of the blood, or plasma, and “super-charge” it with an increased number of platelets and growth factors. This “super-charged” plasma is then injected back into the patient to promote healing. Since PRP is made from your own blood, there is no risk of side effects.

What Can PRP be Used For?

Orthopedic doctors and sports trainers saw remarkable results with the use of PRP. PRP is the cornerstone of the emerging practice of “regenerative medicine.” Regenerative medicine relies on “biologics,” or agents that mimic your body’s own healing abilities, rather than drugs to treat injury and disease. PRP was one of the first successful biologic agents.

Soon, doctors in other fields saw how using your body’s own healing factors could be used in a number of rejuvenative or age-management procedures. The first such aesthetic uses of PRP were as a safe alternative to Botox and other toxic chemicals for the treatment of lines and wrinkles in the now patented Vampire Facelift®. The same researchers who developed the Vampire Facelift soon realized it could be used as a sexual wellness treatment for both men and women.

PRP for Sexual Wellness

Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy for Sexual Wellness

PRP for sexual wellness is now being used in our HealthGAINS clinics nationwide in procedures such as the P-shot for men, the O-shot for women, and our own proprietary male enhancement procedure, the Gains Enhancement ®.

The O-shot is an all-natural “vaginal rejuvenation” procedure that uses the healing abilities of PRP to improve sensitivity, and increase your ability to achieve orgasm. The O-shot has been featured in Cosmopolitan Magazine, and in movies such as “50 Shades of Grey.”

The Gains Enhancement™, is similar to the O-shot, as it is also a PRP based therapy. In the Gains Enhancement penis injection, the PRP improves blood flow, and stimulates the growth of new cells and new tissues. Which means that it not only improves your ability to achieve harder and more sustainable erections, but also can increase penis size!

You can find out a lot more about PRP treatments, hormone therapy and many other ways to age optimally in Dr. Gaines’ full length book, Great Gains For Life –it is over 130 pages of life changing and life extending information.
