Wow. I just had my 64th birthday and i cringe. Cringe to hear people consistently use negatives to describe themselves after they pass the age of 50! Do you do it because you believe it, or, are you afraid that others do. I enjoyed and appreciated your article very much. I am often amazed at what passes as good writing and sells, just because another 30-something declared it good.

My 9th grade English teacher hasn’t slept a wink in her grave since eBook publishing began. Yes, with my BA in Journalism, I must continue to do my own research, write my own books [slowly, I’m afraid] and — altho without one visually artistic bone — design my own covers. I have too much to say to put it simply!

I always marvel that so many people need so much information so much of the time. I further marvel that these people don’t [appear] to care whether information is correct or not. My area is alternative health and wellness. Tea is a pillar of my work. I read an eBook recently that gave absolutely wrong, unfounded, poorly written information on my topic. That was painful. I gave a rating of 3 starts. At least the writer had complete her work, while mine still languors in Word, waiting.

Furthermore, although I find this state of ‘publishing’ to be a bit sad, I spark myself to write and to keep my blog up-to-date. I continue to learn the e-Biz and applaud every time I figure something out. Sometimes I feel as if the whole thing was created for self-promotion. I have some goals and if they can be brought to life through self-promos, I’m in.

In any case, thanks for your work and give yourself, and your peers a break. If you described yourself in such terms, you have done your enemies’ work for them. Believe me, I know! LiveWellToday/DrinkTeaAlways!
