Healthcare is a universal human right. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), health includes not just freedom from disease, but prosperous conditions for the soul*. Only under those conditions can all people live the abundant lives they deserve.

Our Vision

HealthSapiens envisions the democratization of healthcare: creating boundary-less freedom for choice and staying true to health and wellness principles for all. We are here to stay true to the ideals of healthcare through global collaboration and the progression of humankind, one patient at a time.

Creating an incentive-driven ecosystem where all players are treated equally and rewarded properly, we’re envisioning a transparent and sustainable healthcare system that embodies the following:

  1. Efficiency: It’s time to streamline data flow, reduce paperwork, and make it easier for doctors and patients to interact.
  2. Parity: It’s time to level the playing field and make healthcare more consistent.
  3. Cooperation: It’s time to re-align healthcare incentives in a way that benefits all parties from patients and physicians to researchers and pharmaceutical companies.
  4. Responsibility: It’s time for healthcare to do a better job at making people healthier while rewarding and incentivizing good behavior.
  5. Candor for all users: It’s time for healthcare to be more open, honest and transparent.

We advocate the shift from a break-fix model of healthcare focused on episodic and transaction-based treatments to one focused on prevention and the overall holistic health of populations.

“The right to health for all people means that everyone should have access to the health services they need, when and where they need them, without suffering financial hardship.”
Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director, 10 December 2017

Our mission is to preserve the integrity of people’s health by creating a healthcare ecosystem that covers healthcare for all individuals from cradle to grave. This in turn incentivizes preventative care, therefore driving down costs and improving health in the long term.

Our goal with HealthSapiens 2.0 is to improve clinical effectiveness by:

  1. Lowering costs
  2. Allocating accountability evenly
  3. Increasing access to quality healthcare globally, and
  4. Empowering our users to become engaged in their health

This vision drives the next phase of HealthSapiens’ technology: the introduction of the DOC token, a blockchain-enabled solution that improves healthcare access, accountability, transparency, and affordability to citizens worldwide.

Can the all the problems plaguing healthcare be fixed overnight? Is blockchain technology going to solve everything? Will overhauling a multi-trillion-dollar global healthcare ecosystem come without its challenges?

Of course not. But doing nothing out of the fear of the unknown simply isn’t an option.

We are at a unique crossroads as a species. Technology and human ingenuity have allotted us the power to study and mold our world. We have more tools, potential and brainpower than ever before to dream big, to solve big problems, and to do big things.

Ironically, while we make quantum leaps in our technological prowess as a species, the ability for all populations to live long, healthy lives is hindered by archaic systems, archaic thinking, and archaic motives. Yes, healthcare is broken…but it can be fixed. With the right tools and the right ideas, the impossible becomes possible.
