Missing You

“You must love in such a way that the other person feels free.” — Thich Nhat Hanh

It feels strange. I do not miss you.

Actually, I do miss you, but not in a way that hurts me… or in a way that feels that something is missing. The lack of co-dependence is like a breath of fresh air — freeing, healthy and relaxing. I could’ve never dreamt of such a sensible relationship. Of course, I couldn’t do this forever and of course, I’d rather have you here, but a little time apart hasn’t broken me. And that’s a first.

I’m glad I met you at the right time.
