I Believe

In experiences, not things.

In love at first sight.

In taking risks.

In puppies.

In choosing peace.

In creating long lasting friendships.

In time as the greatest healer.

In gratitude.

In dark chocolate, mint chip ice cream and Haribo gummy bears.

In the truth.

In second chances.

In high heels.

In trusting my gut.

In saying I’m sorry when I’m wrong.

In trying new things.

In holding hands.

In long hikes to clear my head.

In the power of listening.

In asking for help as a sign of strength, not weakness.

In deep belly laughter.

In football (USC and Arsenal).

In setting intentions.

In finding the positive.

In knowing that the past is gone, the future is unknown and all we have is right now.

In cooking as a pure form of joy and an expression of love.

In pink.

In baths every night.

In freshly picked flowers from the garden.

In the best of people.

And most of all…. that time is precious. As Steve Jobs said in 2005, “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
