Whether you’re having an intimate family BBQ or a massive cookout, you’re gonna need what’s on this list to be a hit.

Break out the grills and marinate the ribs because it’s time to have a BBQ! As a family that loves to a cookout in the heat of the summer, we know what’s needed to make it a success.

From the best accessories to the must-have necessities, each product on our list has become our go-to for grilling and since we were NOT paid for our review, you can trust that if I write about it, then we loved it!

Let’s begin with the grill:

You haven’t cooked out until you have used this charcoal grill (nope it’s not propane!). The IG Charcoal BBQ Grill is the mother of all charcoal grills because of the convenience that it provides. From the mobility to the side trays for placing utensils, this grill is a man’s dream and a woman’s fantasy. Did I mention that it is easy to clean? Perfection.

The Flavor:

If you love the natural taste of hickory or cedar in your meats, then you have to use wooden planks or chips to get that delicious cooking on a campfire flavor.

We love the Wildwood Grilling planks in Hickory and Cedar which taste great with fish, poultry, and red meat. We highly recommend the Smoking Chips because the cherry, maple and alder wood is savory with meat and vegetables too.

The Seasonings:

Nothing makes a meal more desirable than the right seasonings. If your meats are rubbed with the perfect combinations of taste, then you are sure to be the talk of the BBQ streets.

One of our favorite seasonings is the Miner’s Mix Wholly Chipotle which we put on almost everything! We put it on our hoagies, our fries, our salads, you name it and we sprinkled it.

We love garlic so when we tasted the XXX-Garlic, we knew that it was a winner. From sauces to bread, a sprinkle of this smooth and garlicky seasoning, and you’ll enjoy every bite.

Now listen: I am the only one in my home that brags about loving hot spices and can usually endure the heat on my tongue. However, Fire in the Hole has me fearing the results. This season boasts of six different peppers that include ghost, habanero, and jalapeno. Stay tuned to what I create with this masterpiece of a seasoning.

We also enjoy the rich seasonings of the Spice Lab. The perfected blend of herbs and spices add oomph to food and add a pow to your tastebuds.

Bad to the Bone one of our favorites for red meats and poultry. We added it to turkey burgers and the taste was exciting.

If you like a little sweet and nutty in your meats, then you have to try the Smoky Pecan. We added it to our barbeque sauce and it added flavor that will keep you coming back for more.

Now, when it comes to your salads and grilled veggies, we highly recommend trying Mom’s Magic Masala Fusion Spice Blend. The mixture of fruit and spices is aromatic and delicious. Perfect on shrimp and veggie kabobs.

The Sauces:

When it comes to sauces, we don’t play! Buying cheap sauces can ruin the taste of your meats and the whole BBQ can be heard whispering about the sauce disaster.

A family’s favorite is the Rufus Teague Smoke’N Chipotle because it is sugar-free. This sauce is sweet and smoky with a complex and pronounced heat. It is oh so good on chicken and we also like to dip our fries in it. You have to give it a try.

While many people love buffalo wings, I prefer buffalo shrimp and the Tessemae’s Hot Buffalo Sauce is super tasty. After a half-hour of marinating, I placed them on the grill and cooked them on a kabob and when I tell you that these shrimp were succulent and spicy, that is the truth. The other benefits of using this sauce are that it is vegan and gluten-free.

Tessemae’s Organic Slow Roasted Garlic Spread is another great spread that is perfect for grilled lobster tails. I like to pair it with butter and let it cook to perfection. This is also another sugar-free and gluten-free spread that will also pair well with grilled asparagus and corn.

When making a honey glaze sauce for anything from grilled salmon to chicken, you want to use Comvita Manuka Honey because it not only dances on your tastebuds but this New Zealand raw honey has health properties that boost your immune system and supports the digestive system. Its flavor proves to be number one!

If you like to put mayo on your sandwiches, we dare you to try something unique. KPOP Kimchi Mayo Sauce is a one-of-a-kind aioli with a special zing in its taste. It is a great complement to turkey burgers and I find it delectable with crab cakes or poured on a southern fried chicken sandwich. This is something you have to try.

No BBQ could be complete without a mean green salad. Skip the usual Caesar or Thousand Island dressing, and reach for something more exciting and I know the perfect dressing. By far one of my favorite dressings next to Blue Cheese, the Primal Kitchen BBQ Ranch Dressing made with Avocado Oil is one of the best. Perfect for dipping chicken fingers or any kind of green salad.

The Bread:

Well, you can’t have burgers without the buns and we have a few different breads that make your burger come to life.

If you want to impress your guests, then don’t serve them boring flat buns from your local supermarket. Get into this pretzel phase which is taking over the bakery world. Eastern Standard Provisions Company serves high-quality pretzel bun for burgers and sandwiches that are soft and tasty without the added salt. If it’s on my shopping list, then it should be on yours.

If you must have buns, then you have to get ones that mean business, and we know for a fact that the Angelic Bake House 7 Sprouted Whole Grain buns is what you need to hold up that juicy one-pound burger. Highly recommended, the burger buns are also very tasty with veggie burgers with all the fixings.

My husband is a health nut that doesn’t like a lot of bread so he enjoyed his salmon burger on the non-GMO Ozery Family Bakery’s OneBun. This bun gives you the necessary fiber to keep you full and satisfied but also holds a burger like a pro. It is also good for making avocado toast and other sandwiches of your desire.

To wrap up our bread, we are going to complete this list with one of our favorite ways of holding our meats and veggies. If you are on a health kick then you have to try your grilled salmon, chicken, or shrimp in a wrap with your favorite toppings. Angelic Bake House Garden Wraps has a variety of wraps that include beets and sweet potato, but honey, it is the kale+spinach that is out of this world and will send your tastebuds into orbit!

The Sides:

I love a good pasta salad or potato salad with my BBQ, but I also love a good side of beans mostly baked beans with a little maple syrup added. But I was introduced to a unique side of beans that takes your meal to the next level.

Photo Courtesy of A Dozen Cousins

We highly favor A Dozen Cousins Trini Chickpea Curry. It has a unique taste that is savory with just about anything. I like to pair it with rice to create a traditional Trinidadian dished called Channa. It is also a perfect dish to pair with fish, especially salmon or red snapper.

If you're not exactly sure if you would like the flavor of chickpea curry, then you can be satisfied with the enjoyable taste of the Cuban Black Beans. The spices are mild but have enough zing to make you want more. My husband likes them served with an over-easy egg on top. Perfect for a quick lunch.

My family and I have been on a health kick for many years, but I must be honest — we love chips with our sandwiches. Nothing better complements a sandwich then a bag of tasty chips, especially kettle chips that are super crunchy and made with avocado or olive oil. However, I have a delicious alternative that is healthier and even the kids love it.

GimMe Seaweed Thins are an enjoyable snack that comes in a variety of flavors but there is one that we absolutely LOVE! The Toasted Coconut is perfect with a meal or just as a savory snack. You can even sprinkle it on top of your sandwich for fun.

I am obsessed with the Organic Roasted Seaweed Snacks in Wasabi flavor. These are the ones that I practically fight to keep to myself because they are that good! Savory, spicy and so satisfying. You have to try them.

The Sweets:

No BBQ meal could ever be complete without dessert so we have a few sweet treats that will please your tummy without the guilt.

Photos Courtesy of Emmy Organics

I wasn’t always a fan of coconut, but as I got older it became essential in our household. One of my new favorite coconut treats to eat is the Emmy’s Organic Coconut Cookies. These vegan and gluten-free treats satisfy your sweet tooth with just three cookies. There are many varieties from chocolate to lemon, but I especially like the chocolate chip and the vanilla bean, the taste is everything.

I never had freeze-dried apples before but let me tell you, I won’t be without them again. Crunchies are vegan, non-GMO fruits that you can eat with absolutely no guilt since one bag is just 40 calories. This dessert is highly recommended.

I have a hankering for the Cinnamon Apple ones because they contain just two ingredients — apples and cinnamon. I truly dare you to have just one.

The family, especially the kids at the BBQ also enjoyed the Mango. They loved the sweet and crunchiness of each treat, constantly asking for more.

Eating bonbons while watching a movie with my family was something I enjoyed in my youth, so when we received a box of Brother’s Classic Bonbons, it was total nostalgia. After savoring your BBQ, pop in a creamy and smooth Mint Ice Cream or Salted Caramel bonbon made with real milk. The taste is absolutely delightful for just 60 calories.

Brother’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches is the perfect treat for all. It has the perfect ratio of vanilla ice cream and a crispy cookie with the right amount of chips that has you wanting more. Just remember to share!

Highly recommended, this is the gift that keeps on giving! Little Snowie 2 is just what you need to help you beat the heat with shaved ice so fluffy you’ll think it came from the clouds. This ice shaver uses ice cubes straight from your freezer and creates an8 oz cup in five seconds or less.

This lightweight machine will make your party the ultimate success, especially with the kids!
