Raindrops on my window pane
match the tears I shed in vain.
I can’t think of someone new,
when my thoughts are still with you.

I’ll hide behind this rainy day
until you wipe my tears away.
Please don’t say that we are through,
for my thoughts are still with you.

When the raindrops disappear,
I hope the sun will find you here,
close beside me, here to stay,
even on a rainy day.
