I liked your piece. I didn’t like that that certain commenter likened accepting people of color, specifically black people, to preferences (i.e. trying to make everyone have the same favorite color [absurd]; someone not liking your sweater [equally as absurd]). Living peacefully with people who are different than you are is not like someone forcing you to like a piece of clothing. Our skin color is my something we can just take off and donate to good will. He said that your metaphors weren’t good, but that was just ridiculous.

There are always going to be holier-than-thou, rude people who think their views of things that they have never experienced are law and true. Those people are sad and misguided. Keep spreading your, our, truths
