I think the idea is great, and I commend you guys for being proactive by starting on your own in a DIY attitude. With that said, banks haven’t been as idle as you think, and some of their internal projects are really innovative albeit slow to launch.

Your idea can either create good collaborations, or disrupt ongoing projects so much that you may not get traction from banks… I wish you well, but I suspect the latter. Let’s face it: your primary audience will be fintech startups, so one may wonder why would banks shoot themselves in the foot today, rather than do it by themselves later.
