Anchors Away.

Day 17- Book Writing/Birthday Month
The weight was good.
It felt perfect.
Just enough to
Keep her steady and
In place.
A foot in the sand
Holding things together
Where she should be.
After years of this.
This stability
This grounding
This steadfastness.
The weight became
Heavier.
Pulling.
Strangling.
Where she began to
Take on water.
Began to sink.
Under neglect and disrepair.
What once held her steady
Now held her under.
Some new rope perhaps
Or a new mooring.
Or simply cut the line
And let her free
To drift.
What once held you in place
Sometimes holds you back.
Ships were made to sail.
Harbors were made for visits.
Paths were made to explore.
Anchors away.
Anchors away.
Thank you for giving that little heart below a nudge if you liked this. :)
