What’s your best diet tip?

Paleo Diet


It’s been 3 weeks now and my boyfriend and I have been 100% on the Paleo diet. Except for a couple small choices (used olive oil which technically you’re not supposed to on Paleo, and had a coconut treat with agave nectar in it which I found out is worse than regular sugar). But I think these items are pretty minimal, I’ll stop with the olive oil after we are done with the bottle! I’m pretty proud of the both of us for sticking to it, and after 3 weeks we definitely want to keep going ‘Paleo’ for the next 3 months. I’ve lost fat, and gained muscle and the boyfriend has lost 10 lbs. Pretty impressive.

My best diet tip would be to plan ahead. You read it all the time but it really is the best suggestion. Think ahead about what you want for dinner the next day and take the meat out of the freezer to defrost. What do you want for breakfast the next day… take out the tools so you have them out and ready to go when you wake up super groggy (like I did today and yet managed to make egg ‘sandwiches’).

2nd biggest tip is to ask for help. In the beginning I felt super ovewhelmed by all the recipes I found online. I’m a beginner cook and the long list of unfamiliar ingredients was daunting. So, I asked my co-worker who has been doing Paleo for 6 months for help. He promptly sent me a recipe book his old gym put together that had super simple recipes, and he had a lot of other great tips. This saved me! I’m so glad I asked him for help. Now that I have tackled a lot of basic recipes I can move on to more advanced ones.
