Why GrowLife Cube?

Cultivating a Community

The most commonly asked question from our customers is about how. Not how to drop a seed in the ground and let the sun and water do the work once a year, but how to get started with the right equipment for indoor growing. How they can spend their money wisely. And, most importantly, how to do it right so it can be rewarding. There are many lights, nutrients, media, pesticides, cloners, bulbs, tents, etc. to choose from. At last count our new e-commerce system has about 8 gigabytes of data with about 10,000 products. See our beta e-commerce site: www.GrowLifeEco.com to purchase GrowLife Cube. More on new e-commerce later.

In Colorado and Washington there is a good chance that someone in your favorite coffee shop knows how to grow indoors and make money from their harvest. But, what about in the other 20+ states, where legally growing Cannabis is possible? And, in restaurants across all 50 states they are buying locally grown micro-greens because they want to serve healthy, highly demanded vegetables. Just do a quick search on micro-green prices or indoor micro-green farm.

The recently announced GrowLife Cube provides both start-up equipment (hardware) and, for each growth cycle, all the necessary supplies delivered to your door with a simple monthly subscription starting at $24.99. You get the seeds or clipping and we provide the rest.

The Demand for Cube
For many years, GrowLife sold Phototron, a line of self-contained growing systems, with a similar value proposition: Learn to grow indoors. Over the years these systems lost their way. No innovation, over-priced at $799 to grow one plant, costly to build, and the business operated at a 150% loss. We knew that there was demand from aspiring cultivators to easily grow indoors. However, Phototron, which was more an automated terrarium than cultivation learning experience, needed to be turned into the right offering for today’s customers. We looked at how to make such changes but the Company was in no condition to innovate and add the right value. At the time, we were on the Gray market with a bleeding loss of $250,000 each month. So reluctantly, we end-of-lifed the Phototron subsidiary.

Surprisingly enough, the demand remains unmet by others. There are many books, videos and articles that explain the growing process, but like life, to learn it, you must live it. There is great demand for buying the right equipment, supplies and answering questions. With GrowLife Cube, the annual subscription provides for many harvest cycles where cultivators can experiment with different recipes along the way until they dial in what works for them.

Over the last few years I have walked into many hydro stores and asked how to get started, equipment advice and supply side-effects. Everytime I received the same answer, “we can’t tell you.” Huh. Then why do you sell turkey bags in the summer? Boy those boxes sell well.

Well, GrowLife does know a great deal about cultivating equipment and supplies. GrowLife advises professionals, the largest licensed cultivators in the country, both commerical and caregivers in legal states. “How do we know?” We meet with our customers every day and together learn what works and what does not. We tell the manufacturers, handle many RMAs, and help them solve serious problems where millions of dollars are at stake. This allows us to separate what is junk from what is effective. Also, the big guys don’t waste money. We help them keep their purchasing and operating cost down, which is important to both large and small cultivators. For example, the wrong pesticide can get a million dollar crop shreeded by the MED, even generations later. It is important to know what you are doing.

The Caveat
Indoor farming is a great ecological way to conserve precious resources, facilitate multiple crops throughout the year, and most importantly (I have to give Kyle K credit for giving me this insight) controlling what you put in your body with what you grow with. Toxic ingrediates will grow toxic plants. If you grow vegetables, then you can control food safety for your family, friends and customers. If it is Cannabis, then you must obtain proper licensing. No joke. Don’t buy Cube and break the law. We don’t want people to go to jail, and equally important, we want our customers to always take safe measures to keep it away from children and animals.

GrowLife Cube is designed to affordably help new growers get started and yield crops in their apartment, basement or garage several times in their first year. These subscribers can try varying cultivation techniques with safe and healthy products. They can learn to grow high-value crops, such as micro-greens, for their business or nearby restaurants, and will find GrowLife Cube is the best way to grow.

Most newcomers can start with the Micro Starter Package to minimize their initial investment and simply learn to grow with real urban farming equipment; no terrariums. For a limited time, this introductory Package includes 12 months of supplies at no extra charge.

On the other hand, if you, as a perspective customer, are confident that you will not ignore and kill your plants too often and want to yield a pound per crop with a well-designed 315W light, then the 1 or 1.5 Pounder Packages will get you to the next level by introducing you to different media, nutrients and techniques. With the subscription each month you will receive an email reminder, in advance of any charges, that explains what is being sent to you and, if you wish to try an alternative mix of supplies then we can help you adjust your order and any subscription charges. It’s a flexible way to experiment with products from suppliers you can trust, and designed to help you formulate what is right for you.

Next, if the customer is getting ready to learn professional cultivation skills with a perpetual harvest and multiple varieties, then a 2 Pounder Package for each light may be the right way to go. They will gain an understanding and experience on how to maximize their yields with additional specialty equipment and supplies.

Finally, when a customer is ready to scale-up, talk with his investors to build a larger operation and maybe daisy-chain several tents, then Cube Pro can help them design and test different approaches to get them there. Keep in mind that more plants require more techniques and equipment. If it’s not done right, a big crop can mean a big loss.

In summary, GrowLife Cube provides:
- Start with the right equipment that is right for your indoor grow operation;
- Monthly supply subscription orders that are confirmed BEFORE they are shipped and charged to you;
- You can choose to cancel your subscription at anytime with no penalty;
- However, as a subscriber you receive advisory services, customer support and free shipping on all your purchases!

All Cube Packages come with a sealed tent with its tough exterior that will control its climate and atmosphere as well as help remedy any odor issues that may be encountered. Convenient, easy to assemble and comes in various sizes to fit anywhere from the smallest closet to the largest basement! For Pounder Packages the sun will shine with the power-efficient 315 watt adjustable indoor-agro lighting fixture. The Micro Package use a T5 2' by 4-lamp fixture. All Cube Packages are specifically designed to help you maintain a low temperature without sacrificing any of the grams per watt you should always expect. A good healthy organic grow medium is the main source for nutrient uptake. Medium not only supports your plants ability to grow, but will enhance the flavor of your favorite veggie. Whether you like soil, coco, veganic or hydro, GrowLife has a recipe for success!

The Business Model
GrowLife seeks to help its customers grow and receive reliable advisory and customer service, just like large, direct customers. As subscribers grow, so do our sales to them. We see providing unparalleled customer service as a key differentiator and competitive advantage that not only engages customers closer but consolidates their purchases on a continual basis.

This urban farming program is intended to expand GrowLife’s indoor growing community. Building such a community is done by sharing knowledge. In time we will expand Cube by having cultivators help other cultivators. The initial offerings are made to work closely with new customers and help define the direction of how we enhance the program and its products.

Economically, we see Cube building a great, high-margin foundation with a predictable revenue stream. This program gives the Company increased purchasing power to negotiate lower costs and attract employees that are both knowledgable and rewarded by customer service feedback. Such accountability continually increases GrowLife’s quality of service, which we see as foundational to our business strategy. Finally, fulfillment uses our e-commerce channel and scheduling logistics to enable both sample marketing and delivery at minimal cost with upselling for even greater revenue and margins per customer over time.

GrowLife Cube is designed to be people-centric and not blindly drop-ship cookie-cutter packages. Instead, GrowLife is excited to leverage its knowledge and experience to serve customers across the nation and expand into the micro-green market. Organic farmers have been buying products from GrowLife for years. Cube is a way for the Company to get back to its roots and expand from B2B to B2C to business-to-entrepreneurs. GrowLife is now helping to develop an even greater community of urban farmers.
