Although I agree with the point, I also understand why a lot of people were upset by the way it was made. Yes, it is a “Look to Thynself” message and all are good points, however the Trans community is very small, and the odds that someone even knows another person who is trans is minimal unless that person works/ associates in a place where they are more likely to meet one. Attacking people who are trying to support your cause by demanding that they do it better is never a good play for any organization. Saying “Thank you for the support, here are other ways you can be more mindful” is always a better play. That being said, people getting all bent out of shape because of the way the message was delivered seem to be defensive because they see their own failings in the list. Rather than getting defensive and feeling like somehow you are bad, just make an effort to do better next time.
