Event Highlight: Techstars Farm to Fork Demo Day.

To fuel our excitement for 2018 Twin Cities Startup Week tickets going live on 9/5, we caught up with Brett Brohl, the Managing Director at Techstars Farm to Fork Accelerator Program. For those who don’t know, The Techstars Farm to Fork Accelerator is an entrepreneurship program that partners with Cargill and Ecolab to focus on the tech/digital side of food and agriculture.

We asked Brett to tell us a bit more about the Farm to Fork demo day on the #TCSW18 schedule.

What is your event, how does it work, and who is your target audience?

Our event is the Techstars Farm to Fork Demo Day. The 9 companies currently going through our cohort will be presenting in front of investors, community supporters and industry experts. We will also give an overview of the program, what the companies have worked through and why we have partnered with Cargill and Ecolab to bring the program to the twin cities.

Startup Week is a great resource for National recognition and positive momentum for the Twin Cities, how does your event reinforce this?

One great aspect of Techstars is the international reach it brings to the Twin Cities startup ecosystem. Three of our companies are international and Six are domestic but we recruit from all over the world. Demo day attracts attendees from all over who will fly to the twin cities to watch our companies present. We encourage our attendees to engage in all of the other events going on during startup week.

What other events are you planning to attend?

I’ll certainly be at the Techstars Retail demo day, Beta.mn showcase, Minnedemo among others.
