Looking at the 200+, all negative, comments below plus the “loves” many of these comments got, I would say your second beta group was resoundingly negative in its feedback.
First — you add the swipe right feature, trying to complete with Tumblr. Now people are constantly liking me without ever looking at my profile.
Second — comments to the photos. As a woman, all I need is yet another way men can lead sexist, objectifying comments without actually reading the comments.
Third — Now you take away Visitors and give us a really bad excuse about how the beta group loved it and it avoided missed connections. Not true. There has been more than one time where I noticed someone visiting me regularly and it gave me the confidence to write them. Or I have sent a message, a week later visited them, and my visit alone was enough to receive a response.
I feel that all three of these changes are less user-friendly to women and leave us more vulnerable to unsolicited, inappropriate responses.
I have discontinued my A listing (after years) and find myself using Bumble. If All anyone is going to do is look at photos and swipe right, I might as use a simpler app. You have reduced me down to not considering the whole person.
PS — The Quizzes! Don’t forget the quizzes. I used to love them and they were great conversation starters. They also kept me on your site for long period of time, interacting with other. I miss the quizzes.
