How deep is it?
I saw this picture today of two dogs, one small and one large, both been through the mud, for the large dog it came up to his knees, for the small dog it was up to his chin. How deep was the mud? It really isn’t about that is it? It’s really about how deep it is for you.
I think that is what accommodations are all about. How deep is your mud? It doesn’t matter if other people aren’t struggling through it, if it is a slog for you it’s too deep.
For autistics the slog is real, the mud is too high and too deep. Many times we’re up to our neck in it and it hasn’t even stuck to your shoes. If you’re not up to your neck be thankful, put out a hand and help those who are. Use the influence you have to make things easier for those still struggling.
