That still looks much less efficient than simple being able to skim through a traditional news source. Quartz, and even something like Lark I would argue, already bore this out. Intention is good, but by necessity the interaction is very slow. Getting an overview is slower, dissemination is much slower.

What can conversation add to what is essentially a series of information ‘downloads’ interrupted by decision points (tapping a link). One such thing might be talking to an actual person, but that’s not only not scalable, it’s what chat interfaces on so many websites already do.
