I enjoyed your story!

I have to add that in my experience, the “shitty friend” was a shitty friend from the very beginning. Even before marriage, kids, etc. They are the ones who never got it together, that were always drowning in their life, and never took some moments to clear their head and tackle things with a better attitude/organizational skills. Over the years, I’ve decided to let them be their hot mess selves, I am not ever going to be a priority for them because they never looked outside their own bubble.
